The Mojave Desert Land Trust (MDLT) Center for Conservation Initiatives is located two miles west of downtown Joshua Tree. Situated in a wildlife linkage with a view of our Gateway Parcel Section 33, we are uniquely positioned to carry forth our mission from a place that accurately reflects and effectively represents our organization's vision and its commitment to the Mojave Desert ecosystem. We look forward to the deepening of our mission as we map out the future of our new Headquarters and Native Plant Nursery.
We envision the future of our Headquarters as a center for voices interested in all aspects of desert conservation. A place for thoughtful intelligent dialogue, conservation leadership, environmental education and community engagement.
Starting in 2016, the MDLT Native Plant Nursery will support this vision by growing plants native to the Mojave Desert region for the restoration and revegetation of ecologically appropriate areas, and by offering native plants to the local community for landscaping on private property. The Nursery will also be offering workshops on seed harvesting and native plant propagation.
Our Gateway Headquarters is a unique and versatile venue to host your next event. The MDLT HQ is perfect for, meetings, workshops, pop-ups, screenings and other special occasions.
