Strategic Plan

Mojave Desert Land Trust’s (MDLT) Strategic Plan is a detailed document that sets the goals and guidelines for our work. A two-part planning process led to the development of MDLT’s Strategic Plan.  We first facilitated the California Desert Vision process with desert land managers and resource experts.  Next, we developed our Strategic Plan that included an overall vision with specific goals for desert resource protection, along with a set of maps indicating key areas that require protection. Major goals include:

  • Land Conservation and Stewardship
  • Education and Outreach
  • Collaboration
  • Funding
  • Organizational Development

For a complete version of the strategic plan, please contact us by calling 760-366-5440 or by sending an email to info@mojavedesertlandtrust.org.

Mojave Desert Land Trust’s service area extends from north of Death Valley National Park to the Mexican border.  We currently acquire land within 45 BLM Wilderness Areas, the Chuckwalla Desert Wildlife Management Area, Joshua Tree and Death Valley National Parks, Mojave National Preserve, and within the Wildlife Linkages of the Morongo Basin.
